The Beach is Ours. While the peninsula has a multitude of festivals and fun things to do, the hustle and bustle of the “tourist season” came to an end with the Rod Run to the End of the World. There were so many beautiful cars here it was hard to count them! Had a great time at the Slow Drags, although we were eliminated pretty quickly. Yes, it was my fault – I was driving.

- Saturday Market at the Port of Ilwaco runs through September 27.
- Pacific County Amateur Radio Club is once again offering a Ham Radio License Class. The two-day class will be offered September 20 & 27, 2008 in Ilwaco; 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each Sunday. The class includes the FCC License Exam. If you’re interested in this class, or other licensing opportunities,
