Getting Started in Real Estate

img_0049A new law goes into effect July 1, 2010 changing the status of real estate licensees in Washington State.  We will no longer be “agents” and “brokers” but will be “Brokers”, “Managing Brokers” and “Designated Brokers”.

Education requirements will change to include a 60 hour fundamentals class and a 30 hours practices class to qualify for the broker exam.  In addition, you need to be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent,   You’ll have a complete fingerprint background check done through Washington State Patrol.

So, if you’ve been thinking about getting your Washington real estate license, you might want to do it before the changes.  Currently, you need 60 hours of Real Estate Fundamentals before you can take the exam.  Remember, we have all the information on our website as we are an accredited Satellite School for Rockwell.  We still have a spot left for an agent (soon to be broker)…
