June already. Seems like winter will never end and then time just zips along and we find ourselves in summer. Although the weather is no indication, vacation season is here. We managed to get another grandson graduated. Chris Rogers graduated from Stevenson High School with High Honors on June 6! Way to go, Chris. Chris has been accepted to Linfield College and received a number of scholarships.
Charlie’s back in the office today just 3 days after shoulder surgery! Can’t keep a good man down.
ROAD WORK UPDATE:
WSDOT contractor crews will close SR 103 between 15th Street SE and 13th Street NE (mile posts 0.80 to 1.99) in Long Beach for paving starting Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19. A local detour will be available and crews will open SR 103 by noon Friday to avoid impacting weekend traffic. During the closure, which begins at midnight on Monday morning, contractor crews will grind out over a mile of old asphalt and replace it with new. Crews will also repair existing pavement in the closure area, replace signal loops and restripe SR 103.
