I’ve been enjoying the sunshine when Mother Nature allows it to shine here at the beach. Although it has been cloudy, the weather has been comfortable and the rain is warmer!

We enjoyed our MG Rally and while we didn’t take any prizes, we did come in less than 3 minutes behind first place! Plenty of rain as we navigated our way from Wilsonville to Fort Columbia here at the beach.

“Looking for something to do? Ocean fishing in Area 1 (Columbia River), opens June 28 through the earlier of either September 30 or 88,200 marked coho with a guideline of 5,400 Chinook. Seven days per week. All salmon, two fish per day, no more than one of which can be a Chinook. Chinook 24-inch total length minimum size limit. All retained Coho must be marked with a healed adipose fin.

What a beautiful day at the beach!

It just doesn’t get any better than this. Sunshine, blue skies, light breeze… This is what we live for! Took advantage of it on Sunday to putter in the yard but the weather was just too great to ignore the fact that my MG was sitting quietly in the shop, battery on trickle charge, waiting for me. So, I hopped in and took off. Stopped in Long Beach for the Peninsula Art Association Art Show! What a fantastic display. I even made a purchase for my new office. The photographer is my friend, George Power. What a good eye.

So, after that I cruised up 103 to Ocean Park for a latte and my very favorite chocolate covered biscotti at Full Circle Cafe. Feeling very cheerful, I decided it was time to head home and mow the lawn. The car, being British, didn’t see it my way and I only made it about 4 blocks before it stopped and refused to stay running more than 30 seconds at a time.

Since Charlie was away for a vintage car race in California – Sears Point – I whipped out my trusty AAA card, spent 1-1/2 hours relaxing while I waited for the tow truck and still got home in time to mow the lawn!

But, enough about me. How about some clam dates?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I’m truly blessed to be living at the beach, doing a job I love with my wonderful husband! We’re busy working on the new office and you’ll all be invited to the grand opening, early in 2009! Our new office is located at 1711 SW 18th St., Long Beach. We’re right on the corner of 18th & Pacific Highway in the building currently housing Haff-Shell Antiques. You might want to run down there and check out their 1/2 price sale. They need to get moved so we can get in! See the photos here.

WE CLOSED OUR FIRST SALE! Thank you Soni (our happy seller) and Jerry & Marilyn, the happy buyers! Marilyn says: “We also wanted to thank you for taking such good care of us as our real estate agent. Congratulations on starting your own business. We will highly recommend you. We hope to see you from time to time in Long Beach. We can hardly wait to start building a house!”

We had a great visit to Phoenix (my first trip) and although the weather was wonderful, it’s good to be back home. We did get to visit with our grandson, Andy Rogers, who is a student at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ while we were crewing for a Porsche at the races!

There is so much going on in December that I don’t know where to start! Christmas at the Port of Ilwaco, Christmas Lights and music in Long Beach, the Boys and Girls Club Home Tour, PAA Studio Tour, and a Holiday Quilt Show are just a few of the festivities you won’t want to miss.
