Klipsan Beach

Klipsan Beach – ‘An Indian word meaning sunset’

The small residential community of Klipsan Beach is considered by many local residents to be the approximate vicinity of that imaginary line between the south end and the north end of the Long Beach Peninsula.

There still stands in this quaint section of the beach a US Coast Guard station that is now privately owned, but was in use as the Klipsan Beach Lifesaving Station from 1891 to 1915, when it became part of the US Coast Guard.  This station was closed in 1947 and moved to Cape Disappointment.

For those who remember the good food and good times at the Ark Restaurant in Nachotta, you will be happy to know that Nancy & Jimella have opened a new fish market and café called Jimella’s Seafood Market & Cafe.

You will also find in this community Loomis Lake State Park on the west  side of highway 103, and Loomis Lake on the east side.

If you are looking for incredible homes with Ocean Front or Ocean View property, this is the place to look.  The development of Beachwood Estates might be just what you are searching for.

You will find quiet living in a natural setting in Sunset Sands, along with several locally owned businesses.
