Seaview, originally called Overview and then North Pacific Beach, was established in 1881 by Jonathon L. Stout and his wife Anne Elizabeth Gearhart. It was a location for wealthy Portlanders looking for a summer vacation place for their families. Seaview is located between between Ilwaco and Long Beach but has a character very distinct from its two neighbors.
