This listing is near and dear to your writer’s heart.  During its years as Paulie’s Bistro and then the Port Bistro, we enjoyed walking from our home to the restaurant, sometimes just for a glass of wine, sometimes just for dessert, but mostly for the whole enchilada.  Actually, I don’t think they had enchiladas… but you get the idea.  Now this great location is looking for a new owner, a new lease on life.  There are lots of ideas bouncing around in my head and the heads of my associates.  What do YOU think would be best in this location?

I see: a wonderful breakfast with box lunches for the fisherfolk (okay, I don’t have to get up that early to fix them).  Pizza.  We need pizza at the port.  Sit down, eat in, take away, slices to go.  A good, all around restaurant.  I’d love to get all ethnic but we’re talking Ilwaco.  Although we have the ingredients for sushi!  How about a “Dinners Ready” or “Dinners in a Flash” style establishment where the owners cook and deliver meals or allow people to come and fix their own.  Maybe combine that with a little cooking class?
