Highway Clean-up at the Beach, Courtesy of Rotary!

Everything!, Long Beach Peninsula, Real Estate, Water Front, Water Vew

The Rotary Club of SW Pacific County Peninsula does highway clean-up twice a year.  This year, the weather was perfect!  We meet at the Visitor’s Bureau and clean from there to Black Lake in Ilwaco.  The strangest thing I found was a broken aluminum crutch!  I was glad I didn’t find the owner further down the road.  One thing I don’t understand is why people think that cigarette butts aren’t litter….  I was cheered when a man went by on a bike and thanked me for keeping our community clean.  We do have a great community, don’t we?

Highway Clean-up!

After clean-up and a refreshing iced tea, I was ready for my appointment to show properties, and it was a beautiful day for it.  An especially fine day for waterfront so call me if you’d like to see some too!  Find them here: WATERFRONT!

Enjoy the wonderful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day. That takes in moms, step-moms, quasi-moms, dog moms and cat moms!  My Mom’s been gone a long, long, time, but she’s still in my heart.

Sea Turtles, Rotary and the Beach!

Everything!, Long Beach Peninsula, Real Estate, Water Front

The Rotary Club of SW Pacific County Peninsula enjoyed a fascinating talk by Marc Ward of Sea Turtles Forever this morning. He focused on the amount of plastics found not only on our beaches but inside just about every sea bird, fish and now the turtles too! Please visit the website and do what you can to help.

Saturday night was Rotary’s Oysters and Art – what great food! Rotary works hard and really devotes a lot of time to their projects.  I’m glad I was able to attend, even though I didn’t manage to score anything at the silent auction.
