There is something about the change in the air, shorter days, color-changing trees, that is welcome even here at the beach. There’s a lot happening in October and if you’re thinking about a trip to the beach, these are just a few of the fun things on tap for the “pumpkin spice month”.
The Peninsula Arts Association will be having their Fall Art Show .
Ilwaco will be having their Art Walk on the 4th.
Authors from all over will be coming together for “Books at Long Beach“.
There’s the long-running Water Musical Festival for music lovers.
Kite Fans will love the One Sky One World Kite Fly for Peace
The Cranberrian Fair at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco is one of my favorites and I’ll be there demonstrating spinning!
The Great Columbia Crossing 10K is October 13.
Whew. And that’s in addition to all the other things people enjoy doing in this beautiful place we call the Long Beach Peninsula.
AND NOW TO REAL ESTATE!
August flew right by, at least it felt that way for me. I spent a solid 2 weeks sick with some nasty virus. But real estate charged ahead without a lot of help from me! However, our office did take credit for 15 of the sales!
There were 32 NWMLS listed sale of homes ranging from $48,000 to $750,000. Three unlisted properties also sold. The average price per square foot was $167.19 and average days on the market were just 60. Needless to say, inventory is still tight!
Lots of Condo sales last month too. $165,000 to $315,000.
Vacant Land was pretty good in August with 17 listed sales ($10,200 to $230,000) and two unlisted sales.
There was one multi-family sale at 1101 Pacific Ave N in Long Beach ($410,000) and one commercial sale at 25114 Vernon Ave, Ocean Park ($85,000).
If you’re the entrepreneurial type, there are many opportunities out there! And that doesn’t count commercially zoned land where you can start your OWN business!
