What do you know about Willapa Bay?

The beautiful Willapa Bay is the second largest estuary on the United States Pacific Coast.  Once called Shoalwater Bay, it is fairly shallow but has over 260 square miles of water surface.  Surprisingly, it is all located in Pacific County, WA!

There are several towns around the bay, including Oysterville, Nahcotta, Bay Center and Tokeland.  All boast a variety of wildlife from eagles and herons to deer and elk.  For more info on birding, visit BEACH TO BAY BIRDING.

I happen to love oysters and Willapa Bay is famous for them!  Visit my friend, Dan Driscoll’s OYSTERVILLE SEA FARMS where you can get a taste of the freshest oysters around, plus lots of other goodies!
